Dubai British School
The principal of Dubai British School has said British schools in the UAE will not be bound by changes to England's National Curriculum
.
Mark Ford told The National: "As a British school abroad, we have the luxury of being able to cherry pick the best practices from around the world.
"Just as the newly formed academies in the UK will not be forced into following the new national curriculum, schools abroad will be in the same position," he added.
Earlier this month, British Education Secretary Michael Gove, announced the new curriculum, considering it far more stringent than its predecessor and adding it places greater emphasis on skills such as essay writing, problem-solving, mathematical modelling and computer programming.
