Students celebrate their graduation The Iraqi Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister, Ali Al Adeeb, has confirmed its agreement with Australia to grant 400 masters and PhD scholarships for Iraqi students in majors such as medicine,
engineering, science and agriculture, according to a report from Alsumaria TV.
On Friday he met with the Education Minister of Victoria state, an Australian government representative, and the presidents of nine Australian universities.
Adeeb presented to the Australian delegation 150 files of Iraqi students enrolled in the scholarship programme, and said the other 250 files will be presented after finalising the required procedures.
The Australian government representative said her country is determined to fully support the Iraqi students’ scholarship plan and to enhance educational and cultural cooperation between both countries.
