Clashes erupted after death-sentence was announced
A fire broke out in a minibus belonging to Egypt’s satellite channel el-Hayat as it covered the clashes outside Port Said prison.
Conflict erupted between the families of prisoners
and security forces, after a judicial rule was issued against Port Said’s defendants to refer their papers to Egypt’s mufti to pave the way for sentencing them to death.
Ismailia’s police station received a complaint from one of the channel’s officials, saying that a number of protesters threw Molotov on the car to burn it, along with equipments and cameras.
