Dr. Rashid Ahmed bin Fahd, Minister of Environment and Water and Chairman of Emirates Standardisation and Metrology Authority (ESMA), has announced that the UAE will be hosting for the first time in November an international conference on innovations in electric vehicles.
More than 200 officials and decision-makers in the field of electric vehicles trade, industry and specifications will be attending the conference that will also host on its sidelines an exhibition on recent innovations in electric vehicle technologies.
He added that the conference will be organised by ESMA in cooperation with Messe Frankfurt Middle East.
"The selection of the UAE to host such important international events reflects the position of the State in the field of specifications and standards, not only at the regional level, but also at the international level, thanks to the keenness of the wise leadership for establishing a solid infrastructure and a strong technical base," the statement issued by ESMA said.
