Porsche is bringing two world premieres to NAIAS in Detroit this week: the 911 Targa 4 GTS and the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo S.
Fifty years after its launch, the Porsche 911 Targa is finally getting a GTS version, which comes with an unprecedented 430hp and a Sport Chrono package. The 911 Targa 4 GTS goes from 0 to 100km/h in 4.3 seconds and can reach speeds of over 300km/h. The model's fuel consumption ranges between 9.2 and 10l/100km depending on the gearbox chosen, placing it on par with the 911 Targa 4S.
Even more powerful, the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo S has picked up an additional 20hp in its latest edition, which is presented as the top performing SUV on the planet. Its 4.8-liter twin turbo V8 engine with 570hp takes it from 0 to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds and to a top speed of 284km/h. The revised SUV has also been updated with 21-inch wheels and new two-tone black and cream upholstery. A sports exhaust is available as an option.
The Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS will go on sale in the US in late April at a starting price of $132,800. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S will launch around the same time, priced from $157,300.
The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is open to the public from January 17 to 25 in Detroit.
