Tata is keen to break into Morocco
Indian Group, Tata Motors, is preparing to build a car plant in Morocco, as plans to enter the African market commence.
A source in Morocco’s ministry
of industry, trade and modern technology told Arab Today that Morocco works to attract international groups within the car industry, adding that Tata Motors is seeking to compete with existing French companies in Morocco.
The source added that a number of huge companies are looking to increase their investments in the country and support the national economy.
Media reports have also revealed that a German group, Volkswagen is looking into the possibility of investing in Morocco. An official from the German group said direct negotiations with Moroccan officials to reach an agreement about the huge project are underway.
