12th edition of Dubai International Motor Show
The 12th edition of the Dubai International Motor Show was officially opened yesterday by HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, as the world's top motoring manufacturers
prepared to showcase their latest models and motoring innovations to the region and the world. With over 65,000m2 of exhibition space and more than 600 vehicles on display, the Dubai International Motor Show 2013 runs until Saturday, 9th November at Dubai World Trade Centre.
A number of VIP guests attended the inauguration with Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), and Director General of Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), who guided the VIP entourage through the halls of the show.
The cornerstone event of the newly formed Dubai Motor Festival, created under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the Dubai International Motor Show brings the global motoring spotlight to Dubai.

The show has grown in size and stature with each edition, developing into one of the key automotive shows in the region," said Helal Saeed Almarri, CEO of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and Director General of Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM). "We are delighted to have received such an excellent response from our exhibitors and partners, many of whom have been part of the Dubai International Motor Show from the very start." Visitors to the five day show will be wowed from the moment they enter the show's doors as they will have the privilege of witnessing a record number of 108 global and regional launches, including 15 concept cars yet to be seen by the rest of the world from the world's leading motoring manufacturers.
The world's top automotive manufacturers from Europe, North America and Asia are participating at the show with a number of concept cars, new models and hybrid cars scheduled to make their debut during the five day show.
This year's show sees models making their first debut in Dubai from high profile exhibitors. A glimpse into the future of automotive design is offered by the 15 concept cars being showcased by exhibitors.
Visitors to this year's show can see a significant number of first-time exhibitors in the region, from exclusive, limited edition super cars to practical city cars, as well as a wide range of on- and off-road two and three-wheeler bikes.
