BMW Building on its impressive performance in the first three months of the year, Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors (MYNM) ranked among the top three best performing markets in the Middle East in terms of
number of car sales for BMW and MINI in the first half of 2012.
The official BMW Group importer in Saudi Arabia, is gearing up for yet another successful year. “We have had a busy first six months with the launch of three new models — the new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, the all-new BMW 3 Series and the sixth MINI family member, the MINI Roadster,” said Stavros Paraskevaides, Managing Director, Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors (BMW). “It is evident from our record first half sales increase that continued opportunities lie ahead in Saudi Arabia. We will continue to do our utmost to ensure we can build upon this success for the remainder of the year.”
The BMW 5 Series was the best performing model in terms of growth with a 63 percent increase and 501 cars sold. In addition a significant contribution to the sales came from the recently launched models such as the BMW X3 and the BMW 6 Series, which was popular with all three models — the Coupe, Convertible and all-new Gran Coupe.
The flagship BMW 7 Series continues to be the best-selling model with 737 cars sold. “The BMW 7 Series is consistently our best-selling car here in Saudi Arabia. It is the epitome of luxury, elegance and innovation, all of which are qualities appreciated and desired by discerning Saudi customers, who are a fundamental factor to our success. We will always be thankful to their confidence in BMW and will do our utmost to provide them with the best that the luxury market can possibly offer” said Paraskevaides.
The newest addition to MYNM’s showroom, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe arrived in Saudi Arabia last month and is the first four-door coupe in the history of the BMW brand. The aim in the design process of the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe was to achieve a synergy between the aesthetics and dynamics typical of a BMW Coupe and functional versatility of a four-door sedan. The result is a unique car with a distinctive character but unmistakably a BMW.
