The all-inclusive Bahia Principe San Juan hotel
Situated in the town of Rio San Juan, on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, the 941-room Bahia Principe San Juan Hotel is conveniently located an hour from Puerto Plata’s international airport.
The hotel reopened
after undergoing major refurbishing of its facilities. The hotel is owned and operated by the Bahia Principe Spanish chain, which currently features the highest number of hotel rooms in the Dominican Republic.
The chain operates first-class facilities in Samaná, on the country’s northeast region, as well as in La Romana and Punta Cana, on the eastern region.
The all-inclusive facility also features five restaurants and three bars, all surrounded by more than 1.5 million square meters of lush tropical gardens. The Bahia Principe San Juan Hotel offers its guests ‘" la carte" dining in several of its restaurants. In addition, there is live entertainment and musical programmess, as well as children’s shows, a gymnasium and mini golf.
There are also horseback riding tours to nearby Gri-Gri Lagoon, the perfect spot to enjoy the incredible beauty of the coastal region. Tours are also organized to “Cayo Levantado,” one of the region’s main attractions, as well as to the “Los Haitises” National Park.
Rio San Juan is a small north coast coastal town, with a population of about 15,000. The town has become popular for its many natural attractions, such as the Gri-Gri Lagoon, but also for its colourful carnival in February.
