Le Teint Encre de Peau by Yves Saint Laurent
Paris - Arab Today

The cosmetics brand has announced Le Teint Encre de Peau, a liquid foundation that promises a weightless feel and all-day wear without the need for touch-ups.
This summer, Yves Saint Laurent is promising nothing short of a makeup revolution. On August 26, the brand will launch Le Teint Encre de Peau, which it claims is different from any other long-wearing foundation on the market. Inspired by the architecture of ink, the new product combines a weightless texture with serious staying power.
The texture
In contrast with other long-wearing foundations, which can sometimes feel heavy, Le Teint Encre de Peau claims a weightless liquid consistency. The formula is based on what the brand calls "sensorial and volatile oils," said to quickly evaporate upon contact with the skin and transform from liquid into solid pigments.
The product is also rich in active ingredients (both lipophilic and hydrophilic) which work to mattify and moisturize the skin and ensure the makeup stays in place, even when exposed to heat or humidity. Finally, the formula is enriched with tamanu oil, which contributes to its extremely comfortable feel by allowing it to melt into the skin. Known for its moisturizing properties, tamanu oil contains fatty acids that are similar to the skin's natural moisture and also contribute to the skin's luminosity.
The result is moisturized skin with a matte finish and coverage that, with its ink-like staying power, remains in place all day long.
The applicator
For this new type of foundation, Yves Saint Laurent chose to introduce an unusual application method. In keeping with the ink theme, Le Teint Encre de Peau comes with an applicator inspired by a calligraphy brush. The delicate slanted tip retains the makeup for ultra-precise application: just dab the right amount of foundation on different parts of the face and then work in the makeup by hand or with a brush.
Its practical, anti-drip system also prevents waste (and any potential stains on your shirt before heading out the door).
Le Teint Encre de Peau by Yves Saint Laurent, 16 shades, SPF18, €47.50, available from August 26.
