French Idole, Lancôme's new makeup line for fall 2014, is inspired by the urban, chic and rebellious style of the modern Parisian woman.
Summer hasn't officially begun yet, but cosmetics brands are already starting to unveil the makeup trends headed our way next fall. Lancôme is among the first to present its new autumnal line, titled French Idole.
The luxury brand looked to a combination of casual chic style and gemstone-inspired colors to develop its new makeup line. Pink Topaz, Brown Amethyst and Black Tourmaline are among the autumnal shades featured.
Rebellious eyes, subtle lips
With this new collection, Lancôme combines a bold and smoky look for the eyes with a sheer pink shade for the lips.
The centerpiece of the French Idole line is the Hypnôse Palette in Malachite & Amethyst, which includes a range of browns and purples (€50). Rounding out the line are three new colors of Vernis in Love nail polish (€17 each) and a new shade of Absolu Rouge lip color, Sheer Agate (€30).
Lancôme chose Daria Werbowy as the face of this new makeup line, and the Canadian model can be seen in a new campaign shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.
The French Idole fall 2014 collection will be available from August 25 at makeup retailers and at Lancôme's online store.
