Turkish ship
Suez – Karim Abdelmoen
A Turkish ship was redirected towards the Israeli Haifa port due to a workers strike in Sukhna, sources in Ain Sukhna port said. The Turkish marine agency Kadmar said: “The ship, Alia, had to be redirected to Haifa port due to a workers
' strike in Ain Sukhna, opening an alternative marine line between Israel and Iskenderun.”
The statement said this will cause Egypt to lose one of its most important marine lines.
Workers in Ain Sukhna were on strike for the fourth day protesting against Dubai Ports, which operates Ain Sukhna, after firing eight workers for no apparent reason.
