A delegation from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently conducted a site visit to "I Mall”, one of the newest shopping malls in Sharjah, the site visit was organized by the Economic Relations Department.
Headed by Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of Economic Relations Department, the visit aims to develop cooperation channels with private sector establishments.
Al Jarwan said:” our visit stems from the Chamber’s keenness to closely follow up various economic activities in Sharjah.”
He added: “It aims at identifying the facilities and services provided by the new shopping center, which opened its doors to visitors on June 30th.”
The Director of “iMall” Nadeem, welcomed the delegation, which comprised of Yaakoub Youssef Al-Qasir, Development Consultant and Hamid Al Khayyal, Economic Promotion Executive. Balash gave insightful information on the mall’s different facilities and services.
During the site-visit, Al Jarwan stressed on the importance of retail sector as key element to boost Sharjah’s economy. In addition, he highlighted the value of Sharjah’s shopping malls and their increased foothold.
“The population density in Sharjah leads to an insignificant increase in shopping consumption. Hence, it strengthens economic stability in Sharjah and makes the Emirate one of the attracted destinations for tourism,” Al Jarwan explained.
He stressed SCCI”s interest to exchange visions with the business community, in order to develop Sharjah's economic prosperity and growth.
On behalf of the Chamber, Al Jarwan officially invited iMall’s top management to join the SCCI’s “Retail Section”, which will enable iMall to benefit from its contentious support.
Balash, on the other hand, extended his appreciations to the Chamber for their unhindered support to the retail sector, as he pointed out the importance of their cooperation with SCCI, describing the chamber as “the top partner of the business community in Sharjah.”
“iMall is intended to follow the required procedures to join SCCI “Retail Section”, Balash said. He continued:“iMall pays great attention to quality of products as well as the competitiveness of services as 80% of iMall’s stores and products are well-known international brands.”
The mall has total area of 125,000sq ft., developed by “Nice Home” Real Estate to cover the demands to technical consumable products. It is considered the beacon of pleasant shopping and children’s educational entertainment .
