Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid Al-Falih pointed to closer economic ties with China in his address to the Saudi-Chinese Investment Forum.
Al-Falih said the joint Saudi-Chinese Commission had worked on harmonizing Vision 2030 and the Chinese “Belt and Road” initiative.
He said he hoped that both countries’ private sectors would cooperate in other fields – and that public-private partnerships could be forged to create more opportunities.
Al-Falih addressed the common denominators between Vision 2030 and the Chinese initiative, during his address to the gathering.
A follow-up meeting will be held to explore cooperation in several different sectors.
They include; industry, logistics, housing and financial services.
