A parliamentary delegation from the German province of Bavaria visits Tunisia in an important visit beginning from 20 March 2017 and lasting three days. The German delegation consists of 15 parliamentarians headed by the Speaker of Parliament of Bavaria, Barbara Stam. The visit came in the framework of strengthen the Tunisian-German relations and the development of cooperation and investment opportunities.
A strong and diverse cooperation program is under way between Tunisia and the province of Bavaria, one of the most important German regions, which produces about 17.7 per cent of German gross domestic product being produced in the region.
This cooperation includes various areas such as economy, environment, agriculture, science, health, sanitation, urbanization, archaeological sites and justice.
In addition to meetings with official Tunisian personalities, the German parliamentary delegation will visit the Tunisian company "Leoni-Tunisia", which is specialized in the manufacture of cable packages. The visit will encourage the German-style vocational training model and the value of the Leoni experience in this field.
