Emirates NBD has been named ‘Best Consumer Internet Bank for the U.A.E.' by Global Finance magazine's World's Best Internet Banks Award, in recognition of its concerted efforts to offer customers an enriched banking experience and to increase the adoption of digital banking.
Global Finance recognised success stories of banks across the globe in relation to their strategy for attracting and servicing online customers, success in getting clients to use web offerings, growth of online customers, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from Internet initiatives, and web site design and functionality.
The jury at World's Best Internet Banks also awarded Emirates NBD the ‘Best Mobile Banking App' in the Middle East and Africa region, which reaffirms the bank's commitment to smart banking initiatives which make customers' lives simpler and more convenient.
Commenting on the award, Shayne Nelson, Group CEO, Emirates NBD, said, "We are extremely pleased that Global Finance has recognised our efforts to drive digital channel development and adoption. I can proudly say that our multichannel transformation programme is taking us to new heights at par with some of the most advanced banks globally, both in terms of innovation and business development.

In the recent past the bank has made significant investments in new technologies and launched an array of innovative online-only products, resulting in significant adoption of the bank's digital banking services.
The bank has received an overwhelming response to its next generation self-service banking offerings such as DirectRemit, Emirates NBD mePay, and ‘Shake n Save', among others.
