The Chamber of Industry in Jordan received a Chinese trade delegation headed by Mayor of Chabu City, Yan Moyan and a group of Chinese representatives of food companies .The meeting was called by the China-Jordan Cooperation Association and attended by Chairman of Jordan Industry Chamber, Adnan Abu Ragheb, First Deputy of the chamber, Mohammad Rifai, Director General Maher Al Mahrouq,Food Sector Representative, Mohammed Al Abdalat and other representatives. The chairman of the chamber mentioned in his welcoming speech the close ties between Jordan and China ,saying that China is the third largest business partner with 2,828,billion dollars exchange in 2016. He also stated the importance of domestic industrial sector with its food and agricultural exports that reached 491 millions Jordanian dinars in 2016. He also confirmed the investment features provided by the geographical location of Jordan ,along with the industrial cities and free areas which are considered a constant attraction for regional and global investments. Yan Moyan spoke about food sectors in Chabu city , especially sea food and Chinese tea, sharing his wish to find new markets and increase economic exchange between the two countries. He also mentioned the great investment ties Chabu city has with US, Russia, South Korea and Malaysia and others ,hoping this meet will create more business opportunities in the future with Jordan. The meeting was concluded by an invitation from Yan Moyan to both chairman of the Industrial Chamer and food sectors representatives to visit the annual industrial exhibition and the International Cultural Week for Tourism and Photography of Chabu city .
