Finance Algerian Minister Karim Djoudi
Algerian Minister of Finance Karim Djoudi has called for a serious effort to establish the Maghreb Economic Group in a bid to aid regional economic integration.
Speaking to delegates at the 13th Maghreb Ministerial Committee, Djoudi said that Maghreb countries could only confront modern day challenges by working together.
The Algerian official urged member states to give priority to integration with other Maghreb states.
The minister also outlined the various ways in which states can work together, emphasising the importance of creating a free trade zone by drafting standardised legislation and measures to ensure the interests of all countries.
