Sellal criticises ‘useless’ policy
Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal has suggested the North African country should capitalise on the ongoing economic crisis by expanding its industrial sector, during meetings with economic officials in Algiers.
The leader also criticised “useless” attempts by the Algerian government to pull the country’s economy away from recession.
Private sector involvement would be essential in any future development, he added.
Algeria has previously pledged to focus on job creation to tackle rising unemployment, following 3,000 new jobs provided in the first quarter of this year.
