Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (C) Santiago - Arab Today Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has visited Centro Cultural Palacio de La Moneda, the cultural centre at Chilean Presidential Palace (Palacio de La Moneda) in the capital city. As he toured the cultural facility which is thronged by some 1000 visitors every day, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and his companions were briefed on the centre's goals, programmes and activities which include workshops, training, tours, cultural movie shows as well as awareness programmes in support of teachers and education. In his exchanges with the officials of the cultural centre, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid stressed on the role culture plays in achieving rapprochement and harmony between different civilisations and described it as a pillar of international relations as well as in bilateral relations. Inaugurated in January 2006, the Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda was conceived as a cultural meeting place for all publics. The Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda non-profit foundation aims to develop, study, disseminate, promote and preserve all forms of art, culture and education. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director General of the Court of the Ruler of Dubai, Lt. General Misbah bin Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice-President and Prime Minister, Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director- General of the Department of Protocol and Hospitality in Dubai, and Abdullah Mohammed Al Ma'ena, UAE Ambassador to Chile.
