Egypt's Antiquities Minister Mohamed Ibrahim announced the discovery of a new burial chamber in Qubbet el-Hawa area of Aswan.
The chamber contains nine sarcophagi that have maintained mummies that dated back to the Late Period of Ancient Egypt.
The discovery was achieved by a Spanish expedition mission, directed by Alejandro Jiménez, in cooperation with Egypt's Antiquities Ministry.
Qubbet el-Hawa is a site of a group of Rock-cut tombs known as the Princes's Tomb on the west side of the Nile, opposite Aswan.
