A group of Iraqi singers succeeded in completing the last stages of filming the largest national operetta under the fire of fighting in the right coast of Mosul. "About 50 people, between a cameramen and technicians, have worked for three consecutive nights under the direct patronage of the Iraqi interior minister," said the director of the operetta, Mustafa Al-Abdullah.
Al-Abdullah pointed out that some of the elements of the rapid reaction squad, the Federal Police and the Air Force participated in this great work, which is unique, because filming it from the battlefield between the security forces and IS groups. He explained that most of the scenes were filmed in areas very close to al-Dawasa and the fourth bridge areas in the right coast of Mosul.
The operetta director spoke of the danger of filmingof the song amid the mortar shells and the scenes of killing and destruction left by IS organization. The operetta carried the title "Yalla Aagel", and performed by singers Taysir Al-Safier, Muzaffar Al Amir, Ahmed Shaker and Mahmoud Al Turki.
It is noteworthy that the director Mustafa Al Abdullah insisted on work and develop himself to become a director in this period, making his own way and developed his abilities in this field, and completely deviated from the tradition used by most directors. His good morals and simplicity reflected on his professionalism and reputation to become a friend of all artists.
