The children of Assilah reviewed, on the penultimate day of the end of their 39th cultural season, the outcome of their artistic works during the season, some of which decorated the walls and others presented in an exhibition of their creativity and artistic imagination.
The Secretary General of the Assilah Forum, Mohammed Bin Issa, visited the children's art exhibition in honor of their productions. He started a visit to a school's wall adorned by a large group of children, followed by another visit to another children's exhibition. Every year in the cultural season, the children of the city are brought together to teach them drawing and arts, and then their works are brought together in an exhibition.
The visit, in which the artists and officials of Assilah Forum Foundation participated, was a source of pride for the children who participated in the drawing of murals and paintings, as well as a great incentive to complete their artistic journey.
The teacher in one of Assilah schools, Badriya al-Hassani, said that the idea of mural was proposed to spread the art in the whole city, especially since most of the murals and works of art are concentrated in the center of the city, while the remote neighborhoods do not benefit their children from art.
Al-Hassani said that eighty children participated in drawing of mural, adding that most of the children in the neighborhoods had the right to participate, through drawing everything that went around in their minds, by their small hands.
On this occasion, the Bahraini plastic artist responsible for the workshop, Hussein Mirza, confirmed that the city of Assilah is the birthplace of art and artists, and this is evident in its children. He expected that the annual drawing workshops will produce great artists, especially since his workshops were participated by more than 70 children in the morning and evening.
