Artwork in question predominately features images of nude young girls
London’s Tate Gallery has removed the work of artist Graham Ovenden following his conviction for child sex offences.
Ovenden was found guilty
of one count of indecent assault and six accounts of indecency with a child. The charges span over 40 years. The artist denies all of the charges.
The Tate has removed the artist's work and intends to “review” the prints in light of the recent allegations, confirmed a spokesperson.
The artwork in question predominately features images of nude young girls.
The 34 prints were gifted to the Tate in 1975, as part of 3,000 works.
