Yemen’s new government is finalizing its program for the new ruling block and will submit its final work to the House of Representatives for endorsement in the next few days. The
national consensus government is holding a small committee which includes members of the ministry for higher education and scientific research as well as parliamentary affairs, public works. The committee is gathering to write a proposal on the new government’s agenda that will be submitted to the house of representatives.
Sources who spoke to Arabstoday said the program outlined realistic objectives and took into account the country’s current needs.
Commentators, however, suggest that the national consensus, formed through the settlement stated by the Gulf Infinitive, is facing a number of challenges, the most outstanding of which is budget deficit.
The finance minster is facing the thorny issue of catering to the financial needs of more than 60 thousand public employees at different levels.
In addition he has also been requested to fund the needs of the ministerial bodies whose funds were exhausted by the last 10 months of urprisings.
Basondwa’s financial government is expected to receive financial help from neighbouring Gulf countries.
