Spokesperson of Sana'a Resistance Abdullah Al Shendiki revealed that the clashes between the Yemeni governmental troops loyal to legitimate President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and Houthi militias and other forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh continue on Friday.
He added that the Yemeni troops managed to control a number of areas that enjoy strategic importance, as they can resume advance in the areas controlled by the militants. He added, "Any sites we control in Naham Front would help the troops of legitimacy to control more areas at the expense of insurgents."
According to sources, the Arab Coalition sent military equipment, including heavy and medium weapons, to the governmental troops to support them during their current fight against the militants.
The Arab Coalition's fighter jets resumed the bombardment of the strongholds of the insurgents in Taiz, including Khaled Bin Al Waleed camp and the surrounding area of Jebel Al Nar. The attacks led to the killing of dozens of militants and the destruction of large amounts of military equipment possessed by the Houthi militias.
Leading member of Yemeni army said that the the Yemeni army managed to counter attempts from the Houthi to infiltrate to the areas controlled by the Yemeni government. The clashes led to the killing of two militants in Taiz, while the militants resumed the bombardment of housing residential areas.
On the political side, UN Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed resumed his efforts to end the conflict witnessed in the country as he conducted a visit to Germany to meet with the German officials to discuss the recent developments in the country.
The UN official expressed his deep concern over the military escalation in the country during the recent months calling the different political parties to reach a political solutions for the Yemeni crisis as soon as possible.
