Violent clashes continue between Yemeni forces and Houthis militants, backed by the Arab Coalition's raids, in the Yemeni west coast and Naham city northeast of the capital. The clashes resulted in 10 of Houthis militants killed, and four other detained, after a violent attack by the National Army on the militia positions in the area. The army also recovered large quantities of arms and ammunition from the militias.
The coalition's jets targeted with several raids on the Houthis' gatherings, leaving the leader in Houthis, Mohamed Abdo Khaloufa killed and four of his companions, in Gah area south-west of the province of Hodeidah. The coalition aircraft launched strikes on gatherings and reinforcements of Houthis, in al-Gabanh area in the center of Hodeidah.
Informed sources revealed that new military reinforcements arrived to the militants by the ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh, in Mokha, in an attempt to end the continuous progress of the army . The reinforcements are about more than a thousand fighters from the Republican Guard forces loyal to Saleh to the front of Mokha in an attempt to curb the continuous progress of the army in the north and in the east in the direction of Khalid Ibn al-Walid camp, the sources added.
The national army repulsed, on Saturday, an attack by the militia west of Khaled camp, while coalition aircraft destroyed, early Sunday, military equipment was on its way to support the Houthis east Mokha.
