Tunisian security forces revealed that they received information over the presence of an extremist element in Monastir city, as he holds sessions with extremist elements in a workshop to repair tractors. They added that he also contacts with elements working with extremist groups in Syria.
According to sources, The Tunisian citizen was intending to join the extremist groups in Syria so he was contacting with veiled women working with sleeper cells in Morocco.
The Tunisian security units managed to arrest the extremist element, as they inspected his social media accounts where they found messages with another Syrian extremist called Reyad Hamosh. They also found other messages he sent to other extremist elements in Syria and Tunisia.
The security sources added that the extremist element contacted with Moroccan veiled woman called Nagat Islam and other Algerian citizen called Abdel Malek Al Dahamsha who leads a Facebook page including a number of veiled women from different countries.
