The Saudi cabinet said Tuesday that the vision 2030 confirms that the transformation being witnessed by the Kingdom contributes to supporting regional stability in general and enhancing the trend of making the Kingdom a center for the region and a heart of the Islamic world.
The vision came in response to internal development needs and affirmation of a policy seeking a multi-sources economy and developmental goals in all fields, and addressing any fluctuations that may occur in the global economy, added the cabinet that was chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman in Riyadh.
Minister of Culture and Information Awwad Al-Awwad said the Cabinet welcomed the tremendous response from Arab and other countries around the world to the announcement of the ambitious NEOM project by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
The Cabinet lauded what has been affirmed by Prince Mohammed during his participation in the Future Investment Initiative – he stressed the Saudi people's contribution to driving the kingdom toward new dimensions and their support to the leadership.
Furthermore, King Salman briefed the cabinet on outcomes of his discussions with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and former French president Nicolas Sarkozy.
The Cabinet lauded the program launched by the Public Investment Fund for 2018-2020, including 30 initiatives that contribute to achieving four main objectives to enhance the role of the Fund as an effective engine to diversify the economy in the Kingdom and deepen the impact and role of the Kingdom at regional and global levels.
On Yemen, the Cabinet underscored the statement issued after the meeting between foreign ministers and Chiefs of Staff of Member States of Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen that their countries' political and military movement came in response to Yemen's legitimate government's appeal against coup militias and in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2216. The statement also condemned the role being played by the Iranian regime in supporting militias with weapons and ammunition, as well as holding it and its proxies responsible for jeopardizing the security of the region.
