Iraqi warplanes foiled, on Sunday, a new ISIS's attack in which they tried to target the city of Samarra. The warplanes killed dozens of the militants, including the mastermind of that attack. Reports issued by the Council of Ministers of the National Security in Iraq, revealed that the battle to liberate the right side of the city of Mosul from the grip of ISIS organization is about to finish.
The reports were revealed at a meeting of the Council today held under the chairmanship of Haider al-Abbadi, head of the current Iraqi government. The Iraqi government said in a statement that the council discussed the course of the battle," We are coming to Nineveh", to liberate the right side in Mosul, where reports on the progress of security forces.
They also discussed the situations of the displaced people and the humanitarian aspect in Mosul and take the necessary measures thereon. The statement noted that a semi-annually report was submitted to assess the stability in the provinces and address some of the weaknesses in accordance with the actions that will be taken.

The Joint Operations Command (JOC) said in a statement that the operation resulted in the killing of 25 extremists inside the camp and 15 others were killed outside it, including 10 suicide bombers.
In another statement, JOC said that Iraqi jets carried out several raids targeting ISIS's sites in the city of Mosul. The airstrikes caused severe material damage in the ranks of ISIS, and resulted in the killing of nine of them.

On the other hand, the International coalition killed seven militants including two leaders in southwest of Kirkuk province. Depending on a source from the Peshmerga forces, Anadolu Agency reported a fighter jet belonging to the coalition conducted a precise strike against a position of the IS militants in Rashad town, southwest of Kirkuk. The strike led to the elimination of seven militants, including two leaders, of the extremist group.
In the capital, a security source said on Sunday that a civilian was killed and five others were wounded after the explosion of an explosive device near shops in the district of Mahmudiya south of Baghdad, and that another civilian died, and three wounded by another explosive device in Al-Wardiya area in Al-Madain district, southeast of Baghdad province.
No one claimed responsibility for the attacks immediately, but ISIS organization previously claimed responsibility for similar attacks targeted military sites and civilians in the province of Baghdad, which includes the capital, and other provinces, which caused a large number of dead and wounded.
