Violent clashes took place between Yemeni government forces and pro-Houthi forces and former Yemeni President Ali Saleh in Naham, east of Sana'a. A tribal source said that fierce clashes broke out in Naham, adding that Houthi forces attacked the positions of the government forces in the city.
Saudi-led coalition jets launched many raids on Naham and the first armored division's camp in Sana'a. The forces loyal to Yemeni President have launched military operations in the strategic fronts of Naham for more than a year and a half. If the Yemeni forces managed to control Naham, Sana'a will be open to their forces.
Despite the support of Arab Coalition jets in Naham, operations are limited, and progress is very simple in the eastern gate of the capital Sana'a.
Since March 2015, the Saudi-led Arab coalition has carried out military operations in Yemen against the Houthis and forces loyal to Saleh, in response to the request of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi to intervene militarily to prevent their control over the entire country.
