Houthi militias launched attack against Yemeni governmental troops in the Yemeni city of Louder on Tuesday in cooperation with militants loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh. They attempted to advance towards the city, while they failed as the governmental troops prevented them forcing them to retreat to their sites.
The attack coincided with another attack from Qaeda militias from the city's southern area to attract the attention of the governmental troops. They also installed checkpoints to prevent the militants loyal to the legitimate government from joining the governmental troops to counter the Houthis advance.
According to sources, the recent developments came upon an agreement between the Houthis and Qaeda to drop the city from the grip of the governmental troops.
In the same context, Yemeni Tagammou Party for Reform announced the killing of its leading member Hamoud Al Harbi during a clash with Houthi Ansar Allah group and forces loyal to Saleh.
