Violent clashes erupted between Yemeni governmental troops on one hand and Houthi militias and forces loyal to Yemen’s former President Ali Abdullah Saleh on the other hand in Taiz, leading to the killing of a number of fighters from the two parties.
Sources revealed that the governmental troops managed to liberate a number of sites controlled by the militias in the western side of Taiz after clashes with Houthis, as the military forces launched attack against Ansar Allah Houthi militias and Saleh’s forces at Mqubnp Front.
The sources added that the governmental troops clash currently with Houthis in the line linking between Mokha and Khokha in the western side of Taiz.
The United Nations, on its hand, stressed that Taiz faces the most violent clashes during the recent 20 months, as the medical services witnessed notable deterioration, while medical centers have been closed. It warned that hundreds of people left their houses to escape from the current war.
