The Egyptian president, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stressed on Egypt’s keenness on continuous communication with Kuwaiti investors to overcome the obstacles facing them, confirming the importance of the private sector role in strengthen the economic cooperation between the two countries through investments and trade exchange.
Spokesman of the Egyptian government, Alaa Youssef said that, al-Sisi praised the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Joint Economic Cooperation Council role in supporting the two countries economic relations, during his meeting with the Kuwaiti members in Kuwait, where he talked about the economic progress and Egypt’s national projects such as, the Suez Canal, along with the procedures taken to provide an appealing atmosphere for investments.
Alaa Youssef added that, the Kuwaiti members of the council welcomed al-Sisi visit, and stressed on their wish to increase their investments in Egypt. They praised the steps taken by the Egyptian government to fix the economy and its contribution to improve the business atmosphere. They also are looking forward to the council’s next meeting, as these meeting are considered a good opportunity to discuss the new cooperation projects with Egypt.
The spokesman also said that, this meeting discussed the prospects of cooperation with Kuwaiti companies, where al-Sisi listened to the members’ proposals about improving the investments in Egypt.
