The United Nations announced its intention to resume the humanitarian activities two days of suspension against the backdrop of the recent terrorist attacks adopted by ISIS in the areas liberated recently from the grip of the extremist group in the eastern side of Mousl.
Deputy of U.N. Secretary General Spokesperson Farhan Haq revealed that the international organization will resume its activities on Sunday, saying that the recent attacks led to the injury of a number of relief workers.
He added that the decision to resume the humanitarian activities came after the assessment of security dangers, saying that the workers in the health sector have not suspended their activities due to the notable decline witnessed in the health services.
On its hand, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed the killing of 25 children in Mousl's right bank due to the lack of food and water, stressing the fears over increasing the number of victims during the coming period in coincidence with the operations to liberate the areas from extremist militias.
It added, "The children died due to the notable decline in food in the area since the beginning of the military operations in the Iraqi city." It blamed ISIS for preventing the traders deliberately from providing food commodities. The international organizations called for opening air passages to throw the food in the city and exerting more pressure on government to find solutions for the current crisis.
On the other hand, Iraq's Ministry of Defense revealed that the military Chief of Staff Ottoman Al Ghanemi hosted Deputy leader of International Coalition Robert Goner, as they discussed the ways to increase cooperation between the Iraqi government and the international troops during the coming operations.
Goner praised the Iraqi troops and their victories that they achieved against the extremist militias, stressing their support for the Iraqi government during its war against extremism on the behalf of the world.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi said, before his departure to Munich, that he would attend security conference in Germany, saying that he will meet with a number of international leaders to discuss the ways to combat terrorism. He called the international community for supporting his country to eliminate terrorism.
