All rebels to be enrolled in National Security apparatus

Libya’s Transitional Government is preparing a plan to include all former rebels in the National Security apparatus, Libyan Minister of Interior, Fawzi Abdel-Aal stated, pointing out
that there will be some training sessions for the rebels, with cooperation with some countries and under the supervision of the United Nations.
He discussed some security issues during his meeting in Tobruk, 500 kilometers east of Benghazi, with the head of National Security and a number of senior officials.
He confirmed that, the police departments will receive vehicles and uniforms, pledging to coordinate with the Ministry of Housing and Transportation to complete the road links between Libya and Egypt.
Fawzi Abdel-Aal also pointed out that, the Ministry of Interior is studying the police need of equipment that would enable proper policing across the country.
For his part, the head of National Security pointed out to the challenges that face the security forces during this phase and their needs which includes an airfield for monitoring the Libyan borders, besides the need to open Tobruk's Airport for domestic and international flights.
In addition, the head of Tobruk local council, assured the stability of the security situation in the city, pointing out that the rebels accepted the Ministry on Interior plan to join the National Security.
It’s worth mentioning that security remains a major challenge for Libya.
