A Sudanese citizen restored his granddaughter "Lagen", 4 months, who was in hands of the Islamic State militants after the murder of her parents in military operation against he extremist group. Lagen returned from Libya after a complicated operation carried out in coordination between the Sudanese security service and intelligence as well as the Red Crescent Societies.
Sudanese interior ministry reported that about 70 Sudanese youth joined ISIS in Libya and Syria during 2016, of which only two returned to the country, however it was believed that the number of Sudanese students who joined ISIS are more than these statistics.
