Transport Minister Galal Saeed on Tuesday convened with Minister of Military Production General Mohammad el Assar on current projects which are being carried out by the factories and companies affiliated to the Ministry of Military Production for upgrading the railway system.
The meeting discussed current conditions of lever crossings and railway stations that will be developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Military Production.
In statements following the meeting, Transport minister said 12 railway stations have been upgraded so far, adding that other 10 stations will be finalized by the end of June, 38 during July and 25 by the end of August.
Minister of Military Production also asserted that his ministry was keen on accomplishing joint projects with the transport ministry in order to accelerate the development of the railway system and provide better services to citizens.
The two sides agreement on following up round-the-clock the projects that are currently under construction during weekly meetings between the two ministries.
