Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe arrived at Saint Catherine airport early Sunday to visit the city's tourist attractions.
Upon arrival, the president, accompanied by medical teams and some bedouins, climbed Mt. Sinai (Gebel Musa) where Moses is believed to have received the Ten Commandments.
The trekking tour takes 3 hours up and as like down.
Some of the president's associates went to visit Saint Catherine Monastery.
Meanwhile, some 1,068 tourists visited Saint Catherine city over the past 24 hours.
Their tours included Saint Catherine's Monastery, Mount Sinai, Bedouin camps in addition to several other religious and archaeological sites.
