The experimental flights between Egypt and Russia may lead to the resumption of regular flights, said the spokesman of the Committee on transport at the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
In statements carried by Sputnik News Agency, the spokesman said that if the transport committee endorsed the experimental flight, further measures will be taken and may include to the resumption of regular flights.
Russia grounded charter flights to Red Sea cities after an Airbus A321 plane flying to St.Petersburg crashed soon after taking off from Sharm el Sheikh on October 31. All 224 people aboard died as a result of what was classified by the Russian authorities as a terrorist attack.
