As many as 24,856 passengers have arrived at and left Red Sea ports during November, Spokesman for Red Sea Ports Authority Malak Youssef said.
The passengers were from different nationalities, Youssef underlined, noting that these figures constitute increase by 42 percent compared to November, 2015.
About 12,177 passengers arrived at and left Safaga port with an increase of 112 percent due to developing the port and establishing new halls.
Sharm el Sheikh Port saw the arrival and departure of 8,902 passengers with an increase of six percent compared to the same period last year, Youssef noted, adding that 1,156 passengers arrived at and left Hurghada port.
As many as 2,621 tourists arrived at and left Nuweiba Port, the official reiterated.
Meanwhile, Transportation Minister Galal el Saed gave directives to all ports to offer the best services to the tourist ships especially in the Red Sea harbors which is near to the archaeological sites in Luxor and Aswan.
