Egypt's Ambassador in Rome Amr Helmy said that additional charter flights were operated between several Italian cities and the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh.
In statements on Monday, Helmy said that the first stage of these flights started from Milan city on October 9 and 16.
Several other flights will be operated from seven Italian cities; namely Naples, Bari, Pisa, Catania, Turin, Palermo and Ancona, in the coming three months, he added.
The operation of additional flights between Egypt and Italy coincides with the launch of a promotion campaign to attract tourists to destinations in South Sinai, Red Sea, Luxor and Aswan, the diplomat said.
