Senior executives at Etihad Rail, the master developer and operator of the UAE’s national railway network, have just returned from a five-day visit to Antwerp, Belgium where they met and shared ideas with key players in the world of transport. Throughout the visit, Etihad Rail, DP World and ADPC were able to further consider their own various business plans and operations and discuss the challenges, opportunities and benefits of cooperation between rail, ports, shipping lines, freight forwarders, terminal operators and freight customers. The trip also allowed them to visit intermodal rail terminals connected to container ports in Antwerp, including DP World-operated Antwerp Gateway. From / Gulf Today
