The data file of a doomed Egyptian plane that plunged in the Mediterranean last month was transferred to Cairo on Tuesday for analyzing the data at the labs of the central department for aircraft accidents at the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the ministry announced.
The analysis might take several days to ensure the accuracy of reading the data, the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, Egyptian investigators said that the board of the flight data recorder (FDR) was successfully repaired at the laboratories of the French Investigation Bureau.
The repair of the board of the cockpit flight recorder (FDR) started on Tuesday, they added.
