Belarusian Belavia Airlines resumed Wednesday its flights from Minsk to Sharm El Sheikh city, Belarusian Ambassador in Cairo Sergei Rachkov announced on Thursday.
The company decided in December to halt its flights to Sharm El Sheikh over the decline in demand by Belarusian tourists while its flights to Hurghada city proceeded on normal schedule, he asserted.
In a statement to MENA, Rachkov said that Belarus did not issue a travel warning to Egypt on the heels of the crash of the Russian plane last year.
The number of Belarusian vacationers, who visit Egypt's tourist resorts, has doubled over the recent years, he underlined.
