The Ajman tourism delegation reported a successful participation in this year’s ITB Berlin, returning with encouraging investment opportunities from the European market.
The Ajman stand attracted high levels of interest from visitors and exhibitors who would like to discover the destination because of the new logo that was also unveiled at the world’s largest travel trade fair.
Dignitaries and VIPs visiting the Ajman stand including UAE Ambassador to Germany Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi; Director General of the National Council for Tourism and Antiquities Mohammed Al Muhairi; officials from UAE tourism authorities and other participants praise the new logo and slogan that reflects Ajman’s true identity.
Majority of the meetings conducted between the tourism department, hotels, tour operators, travel agencies and key destination management companies (DMCs) were focused on promoting the emirate of Ajman as both leisure and investment destination.
Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of ATDD who headed the delegation said: "The result of this year’s participation in ITB was very promising. The members of the Ajman delegation were able to close important deals, met new partners and the new destination logo gave us more exposure not only in Germany but in the whole European market. ITB Berlin offers us a precious opportunity to promote Ajman on the global stage and highlight the Emirate’s business potential and investment opportunities."
The hospitality sector conducted a series of B2B meetings with members of participating delegations and representatives of leading international travel agencies, hoteliers and investors who are seeking to close deals with the industry.
Ajman tourism also introduced the mobile application which provides the latest news about the tourism industry in the Emirate as well as a detailed guide of hospitality sector and culture heritage, travel agencies, events in Ajman and more. The application supports both English and Arabic languages and visitors to the stand received detailed information about the application through a video presentation.
Al Nuaimi added that the delegation is keen to participate in the most and major travel exhibition next year to get more exposure and better deals because "ITB gives us a great opportunity to meet and network with key industry leaders to support and realise the vision of Ajman."
The Ajman delegation included Ajman Tourism, Ajman Saray, Fairmont Ajman, Crown Palace Hotel, Kempinski Hotel Ajman, The Ajman Palace Hotel, Ramada Hotel, Travel Center, ITL and Anta Travel and Tours.
