Aden International Airport Director Tarek Abdu said Friday the Yemeni Transport Ministry targets a full operation of the airport soon following the completion of restoration works.
In statements to adenalgd.net, Abdu reiterated that the resumption of Yemeni air flights to Aden on Thursday did not mean that all airport operations were resumed.
Yemeni Transport Minister Murad al-Halemi was on board the first plane that landed at the airport yesterday from Amman, accompanied by a number of nationals who had been recently treated in the Jordanian capital.
The minister, meanwhile, lauded the UAE efforts to rehabilitate Aden airport that was earlier destroyed in attacks by Houthi and former president Ali Abdullah Saleh's militias.
