In a bid by the Tourism Ministry to develop tourism in Dhofar Governorate as a tourist destination for the full year , the Directorate General of Tourism in Dhofar Governorate in collaboration with the Directorate General of Tourism Promotion and the respective establishments today organized a panel discussion at Hilton Salalah Hotel on tourism promotion for Dhofar Governorate as a tourist desitnation all over the year. The discussion cast light on the efforts made by the Tourism Ministry and the agencies taking part in promoting the Governorate. The participants also discussed the challenges facing tourism promotion for the governorate, in addition to, discussing the implemented and non implemented parts of the promotion plans for this season by each agency. Representatives of Salalah Tourism Festival, Media Office in Dhofar Governorate, Oman Air, Oman Air Port Management Company / Salalah Airport / Salalah Port, Crowne Plaza, Hilton and Marriot Hotels and a number of tour operators participated at the panel discussion. The patricians highlighted the importance of organizing such panel discussions that serve the tourism promotion for the governorate and help in coordinating efforts by the respective departments to develop common aims and visions for developing the future promotion plans
