Veteran Actor Ahmed Rateb died Wednesday at the age of 67 in a hospital in the 6th of October city after a sudden illness .
In statements to MENA, Secretary of the Actors' Syndicate Sameh el-Sirity said the funeral prayers for Rateb will be held in Al Hosary Mosque in the 6th of October city.
He starred alongside silver screen giants such Gameel Rateb and Adel Imam in the movies El Irhab Wel Kabab (Terrorism and Kebab) and Toyoor El Zalam (Birds of Darkness).
He also starred in El Sefara fi El Omara (The Embassy in the Building) and Emaret YaKoubian (The Yacoubian Building).
