Egyptian actor Hani Ramzi has completed filming for his latest movie Tom and Jimmy. Ramzi told Arabstoday that he plays the character of an autistic man named Tom who becomes the guardian of a young girl named Janaa. The story revolves around a series of tragicomic incidents. Ramzi denied that Tom and Jimmy is a political commentary on Egypt. "Tom and Jimmy is about the daily concerns of ordinary Egyptian citizens," he said. Tom and Jimmy is scripted by Sameh Ser el-Khetm, Mohammed Nabawi, and Alaa Hassan. It stars Hani Ramzi, Hassan Hosni, and Tatiana. The young girl, who plays Janaa also co-starred with Ramzi in his last film Samy Oxed el Karbon which was directed by Akram Farid. Hani Ramzi is also the star of the drama series Son of the Regime which was written by Hamdi Youssef, directed by Ashraf Salem, starring Hassan Hosny, Fadia Abdel Ghani, Raja Jiddawi, Mohammed Shaheen, Amira Fathy, Sandy, Said Tarabak, Mohammed Abu al-Hasan, and Amal Ramzy. The drama was aired last Ramadan.
